God. Is. Worthy.

When my heart is overwhelmed
When I have no where else to turn
...
When God is silent
When my fears engulf
When guilt overcomes me
.
When tears drown me
When I'm filthy beyond cleansing
When I'm broken
window-looking.

When life is unfair
When I'm terrified
When I'm ashamed of my mistakes
When my heart is frozen over
When I can barely breathe
When darkness closes in
When I lack courage
free
When memories haunt me
When I'm so scared
When I'm so alone
When I hate what I've become

I will worship you

When my heart is overwhelmed
When joy is my heart's song
When the sun is shining
When life is hopeful
When love is overflowing
Picking flowers
When blessings are falling
When I'm excited
When I can't help but smile
When I'm dancing
Rain dance....
When forgiveness is here
When I'm living fully
When everything is beautiful

I will worship You

"All of my life
In every season
You are still God,
I have a reason to sing
I have a reason to worship"
 God. Is. Worthy.

Be Thou My Vision

This life comes at us fast. The push and pull. Do and Don't. Yes and No. Here and There. And everything else in between.

tranquil

There is so much to think about. Oh so many wonderful, horrible, exciting, meticulous, beautiful things to ponder.

So many... Dreams to dream. Adventures to conquer. Fears to overcome. Hallelujahs to cry. Statements to declare. Songs to sing. Questions to uncover. Thoughts to sort. Disappointments to heal. Stories to write.

There are so many dimensions to this life we live. So many seasons. So many circumstances.

Everything we know becomes past. The unknown becomes the present. The future is a mystery.

And yet, as we lie here and think, and question, and hope, and understand, we come to a new perspective. That God is in the little things. God is in the big things. God is. And that is only the beginning.

We slowly grasp the possibility that there is more.

No greater call, no life at all, but to love You."

We come to the realization that in reality, this seemingly big life is nothing more than a small, fragile object in the hands of our Father.

So Yes. Take in this life. Make the most of it. Live it to its full extension. Love. Be loved. Grow deeper. Have integrity.  But be something more.

"Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light."

To Live.

Hiya people! SOoooo the reason I started this blog was to have a place to share what I believe are Beautiful  Things. You can either fly through life and pass by beauty.. or you can take time to smell the roses and discover life as its meant to be. Life full of peace, joy, love, and more importantly God.

The Westminster catechism states "Man’s chief end is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever".   In Him is life, depth, happiness, grace, and beauty. When we discover God for ourselves, we begin to discover the depth and reason behind life, happinessetc. We can experience all of these things to the fullest and can find joy in everything we do.

So I hope my blog will give you a chance to step back and catch a breather. Possibly even INSPIRE you to do that more often and savor every single moment, memory, and blessing. Why not make the make the most of your life ya know? So taste it. Savor it. Devour it. And yes. I am in the mood for brownies smothered in dark chocolate. Know why? Because YOLO!!!!!

Fulfillment

We {the whole human race} have been born with an emptiness in our hearts. We are already born broken and  helpless. We come into this world in a desperate state and seek to be made whole.

We are born with an unquenchable thirst for beauty. Either to find it, or to obtain it. Beauty catches our eye and makes a lasting impression upon our souls.
"Only two things pierce the heart: beauty and affliction."

When we put two and two together, we find God. The remedy we need to fill our longing hearts and quench
our desire for beauty. He is the epitome of beauty, redeemer, fulfiller, friend. Who could ever ask for more!

Yet we become blind. Some people to the point where they never even get a glimpse of God and all He has to offer. Some people {most Christians}to the point where they live their lives searching for fulfillment, never realizing they already held the answer.

So I leave you with 2 great truths to remember:
{1.} I am restless till I rest in You- St. Augustine
{2.} Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full on His wonderful face, And the things of life will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace.

This is our Hope

Sometimes its so hard to understand. To comprehend God and all of His goodness. His faithfulness. His vastness. His silence.

So difficult to know that He is always there. Will never forsake us...even in the darkest night. So hard to believe His promises. That  He is for us. That He is holding us in the palm of His hand. That He has our days numbered. That our name is graven on His hands.

We will never understand the love that emanates from His being and fulfills our emptiness. We only know that we have to believe it. We must. For these are the very truths we as Christians base our lives. The things that uphold us in the raging storms. In the times we can't hold on much longer. We hang on the to depth of our God to cover all of our insufficiency and emptiness. These very things we cannot fully grasp, but only catch a glimpse of are the things we obtain HOPE from. We are in such a desperate state that we must trust what God has declared... if we don't where else can we turn? Though we do not fully understand...
faith is a must.

"First I believe, then I understand."-Augustine
